StadtPark Austria Vienna
This is a view from the window of the Marriott in Austria - downtime while alone often means paint time as i bring my paints and paper with me even if i don't use them i'm happy. Vienna brought the mtns around them for water for the city in the 1800's if i remember the tour guide right. how smart for the viennese.
Turkish Rug
This is an ongoing series painting the impressions of a rug I bought in Istanbul in the Grand Bazaar. It was not my first choice to have gone there but now that I have I would dearly love to go back. But I was so happy to get back to the States and go shopping and look at the price tag and JUST THINK yes, I will buy that or no, I will not and get on to the next item. Bargaining was exhausting - I'd rather shoot a squirrel to get a thrill.

Paris Apartment
I was at the Hotel L'Opera in Paris and across the very narrow street was apartments with restaurants and shops under. I spent a pleasant hour trying to capture the Hausmann garrets. It was July so a person came out to water her plants but otherwise it was to sunny to sit out. Now in GA after the biggest snowfall in such a long time and a very cold spell. today after the snow yesterday it is 25 degrees, it looks so inviting. Yesterday I painted a snow scene of the woods in the side yard but ran out the battery taking beautiful pictures, so I will post the picture later.

Casa de Campo DR
this was one of my first attempts at plein air painting, a watercolor of the car park right outside our door at the casa de campo resort in Dominican Republic. this is a great resort, we hope to go back. I didn't do the bougainvillas justice.

Stormy Skies over Publix
First Impression
This small watercolor was painted the first day we were painting in Monet's Garden. It is 7x10" and is my first impression of the house and porch and flowers at Giverny. It was in the long long twilight that lasts almost to 10 p.m. in that part of the world in July. Although my impression did change the longer we were there painting with Pat Fiorello at Art Study Giverny. We were there a week and painted in the garden every day. I value this first impression
